About CARISMA
CARISMA was founded in 2001 by Frank Ricciardi. Mr. Ricciardi’s technology career spans over 20 years and includes extensive experience in software and product development, web site development, database programming, and network design, installation and management.
A graduate of Villanova University, Mr. Ricciardi began his career at Bell Labs and moved over to Lucent Technologies after earning an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. While at Lucent, he served as Senior Webmaster for the Intellectual Properties Business Unit.
Desiring a different type of challenge, in 1997 he accepted the position of General Manager at an IT-only Marketing/Advertising firm in King of Prussia, PA. While managing the day-to-day operations of one of Philly’s fastest-growing advertising agencies, he developed a proprietary, web-based time and asset tracking system, designed and constructed the company’s LAN, and began a web-site development practice that garnered the company an additional $120,000 in revenue during its first year. One of the sites developed by Mr. Ricciardi was recognized by Software Business Magazine as Best Business-to-Business e-Commerce site and was one of five finalists for the SIIA’s prestigious Codie™ Award for two years in a row.
Despite his career success, Mr. Ricciardi left the corporate world and founded CARISMA. “I was having fun doing what I was doing, but I was doing it all for someone else.
